Welcome to the Tamashii Cup, the first international kendo tournament in Portugal. 

The Tamashii Cup is a goodwill tournament open to all EKF/FIK members that wishes to bring kenshi from different nations together to enjoy kendo, friendship, and a bit of Portuguese culture.

This year’s edition is part of a two-day event comprising of a Referee Seminar, instructed by Miko Salonen sensei (7Dan Kyoshi), on the first day followed by the Tamashii Cup on the second day.

This is a great opportunity to practice both refereeing and shiai!

The seminar is open for all as both shinpan and/or competitor.

The Tamashii cup will consist in a single day of mixed individual tournament as well as team competition, open for every type of competitor, high level or beginner, regardless of gender.

With this event we wish to improve the participants competition skills as well as refereeing.

Please note that all competitors must be aged 18 years or older and must be EKF/FIK registered.
